Cultural Exchange and Learning Program

The YES Program (Youth Exchange Program) at Shanghai Vocational College of Electronic and Information aims to foster U.S.-China cultural exchange by offering American students an immersive experience to explore China’s technological development, educational landscape, and traditional culture. Over the course of a 7-day itinerary, participants will visit leading tech companies, experience campus life, and explore the cultural heritage of Shanghai and Suzhou.

Program Highlights

  • All-Inclusive Fee: $2,999

    • Includes round-trip international airfare (purchased via approved Chinese domestic airlines), business-class hotel accommodations, airport transfers, three meals daily, and all official activities—giving parents peace of mind.

  • Visits to Leading Tech Companies

    • Planned visits include ByteDance, Huawei, or Baidu (final itinerary subject to school confirmation), offering insight into the innovation and strategic development of China’s top tech firms.

  • Immersive Cultural Experiences

    • Activities include a tour of the Suzhou Museum, traditional Hanfu clothing experience, and a City Walk through Yuyuan Garden. Participants will gain a deep appreciation for the integration of tradition and modern life in Jiangnan.

  • U.S.-China Vocational Education Exchange

    • Participants will visit Shanghai Vocational College of Electronic and Information to observe real classrooms, join hands-on workshops, and take part in a U.S.-China youth roundtable, expanding their global perspective.

  • Professional Leadership and Support

    • Led by experienced advisors from iBridge Education, with bilingual U.S. and Chinese teachers accompanying the group throughout China to ensure smooth communication and logistics.

  • Core Activities

    • Tech Company Visits: Planned visits to ByteDance, Huawei, or Baidu (final schedule subject to confirmation), to understand China’s innovation in the tech industry

    • Campus Exchange: Visit to Shanghai Vocational College of Electronic and Information, including class observation and youth dialogue

    • Cultural Immersion: Visits to Suzhou Museum, Hanfu experience on Pingjiang Road, and Yuyuan City Walk for a full immersion in Jiangnan’s charm

  • Eligibility Requirements

    • U.S. university students holding a valid U.S. passport

    • Interest in U.S.-China language, culture, exchange, or technology

    • Only 8 students will be selected from the U.S. as Youth Ambassadors

Additional Notes

  • Itinerary may be slightly adjusted; final tech company visits will depend on confirmation

  • Cultural experiences include traditional arts and modern urban exploration, suited for a diverse range of interests

  • No Chinese Visa is required – Cultural Exchange and Learning program
